Indian team announced for T20 World Cup, Bumrah-Harshal got place

 


The All India Senior Selection Committee on Monday announced the Indian squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Rohit Sharma has been named the captain for the mega T20 event, while his opening partner KL Rahul has been given the responsibility of the vice-captain. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have also been included in the team.

Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have returned to the team after recovering from injuries. Mohammed Shami will go to Australia as a standby player. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel have been included in the all-rounder squad. Deepak Hooda has also retained his place in the team. It will be interesting to see how the two wicketkeeper-batsmen, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are used in the tournament. Experienced Ravichandran Ashwin has got a place as a spinner, while Yuzvendra Chahal will support him.
