Mathura: The birth anniversary of Lord Krishna was celebrated across the country on Janmashtami. Shri Krishna Kanhaiya, the beloved of the people, descended from house to house on the dark night of Bhadra. At 12 o'clock in the night 'Nand Ke Anand Bhayo Jai Kanhaiya Lal ki, Jai Yashoda Lal ki….' On Friday, the 5,249th birth anniversary of Liladhar Lord Krishna was celebrated with pomp in the city of Kanha. From morning itself, the enthusiasm of Kanha's birth was seen in the whole of Braj. The wreath-laying program at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi was started by Karshnik Gurusharanand Maharaj and Cabinet Minister Chaudhary Laxminarayan by performing aarti of Thakurji. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Bhagwat Bhawan of Janmabhoomi on Friday evening, performed aarti and special worship of Thakurji. After this, when the couple dressed in Sriharikanta dress adorned with silk, zari, and creeper leaves in Bhagwat Bhavan, the devotees were blessed to see the image. As the night progressed, the glee reached its peak. The scented liquid was sprinkled all over the premises. The preparations for Lala's birth intensified with Lord Ganesha, Navagriha Pujan, and Sahastravachan at 11 o'clock at the night.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Nirman Nyas and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das and Karshnik Gurusharanand Maharaj pointed at Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan secretary Kapil Sharma at 12 o'clock, then Kanhai's moving Deity was brought to Bhagwat Bhawan on Morchhal seat. On a silver lotus flower, a cow made of gold-plated silver performed the milk ceremony of Viraje Thakur.
