America killed Al-Qaeda leader Zawahiri by drone strike, Biden said now justice is done

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri has been killed in a US drone strike. On Sunday, the operation was carried out in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. US President Joe Biden confirmed on Tuesday that "justice has been done, he is no longer a terrorist leader".

The US had declared a $25 million bounty on his head. The killing of Zawahiri has dealt the biggest blow to al-Qaeda in nearly 11 years since Osama bin Laden was killed by the US in Pakistan in 2011. There were reports of Zawahiri's death several times in the past, which later proved to be baseless, but this time it has been confirmed by the Biden administration.

The special thing is that America has succeeded in eliminating both the main wants of Al Qaeda who attacked America. In search of these two, America had given full force in Afghanistan for almost 20 years. The US military ousted the Taliban government from Afghanistan and formed a democratic government. In the long-running war, in August 2021, the US army suddenly left Afghanistan and returned, after which it is again under the Taliban government.

About a year after leaving Afghanistan, the US eliminated Al Qaeda leader Zawahiri in Afghanistan. Now questions are being raised as to where Zawahiri was during the US military presence in Afghanistan and whether Zawahiri was given shelter in Afghanistan after the Taliban came to power. The US action has been condemned by the Taliban government of Afghanistan.
