India beat South Africa by 16 runs in the second T20I. With this win, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Batting first, India scored 237 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the African team could only score 221 runs. In this match, De Kock scored an unbeaten 69 and David Miller scored 106 runs for South Africa.

In the T20 match played in Guwahati today, South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat first. Team India scored 237 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. India Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs in 22 balls and KL Rahul scored 57 runs in 28 balls. While Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 49. In reply, South Africa also chased in a brilliant manner. Arshdeep Singh took two wickets in the second over of the African innings. Then it was thought that the South African team would choke again but after that David Miller and Quinton de Kock batted brilliantly. Both of them shared an unbeaten partnership of 174 runs for the fourth wicket. Miller scored his second century in T20 Internationals. He remained unbeaten on 106 off 47 balls with the help of eight fours and seven sixes. While de Kock played unbeaten innings of 69 runs in 48 balls.

India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. For the first time, the Indian team won the T20 series against South Africa at home. This achievement has been added to the name of captain Rohit Sharma. Earlier in 2015, D. Africa beat India 2-0. In 2019, the series between the two teams were tied at 1-1. The five-match series in 2022 was tied at 2-2. The fifth match was washed out due to rain.
