Fire breaks out in Secunderabad hotel, 8 killed, people jumped from window to save their lives

 


Eight people were killed and 13 others injured after a fire broke out at Ruby Ratan Hotel in Telangana's Secunderabad late last night. Police have expressed apprehension that the death toll will increase. Police say that the investigation of the fire is being done. Commissioner of Police CV Anand has estimated that the fire started after a battery of a bike exploded at the Ruby Electric Vehicle showroom in the basement of the hotel.

People saved their lives by jumping down from the window

The fire then spread throughout the building. According to the police, there were about 25 tourists there when it started. Eight people died due to the flames and smoke. There is also a woman among the dead. Around 13 people have been injured. According to eyewitnesses, some people were injured while trying to save their lives by jumping down from the hotel window. Nearby people first reached the spot and rescued many people safely.

According to the information received, there are 25 rooms in this hotel. Tourists stayed in more than 12 rooms. Fire brigade vehicles doused the fire and rescued 15 people. Three dead have been identified. Among them are Sitharaman from Chennai, Virendra Kumar from Bihar and Harish Kumar from Vijayawada. The injured have been admitted to Government Gandhi Hospital, Yashoda Hospital and other hospitals in Hyderabad.

PM Modi expressed grief, announced compensation

On the other hand, PM Modi has also expressed grief over this incident. The Prime Minister's Office has said on his behalf that it is saddened by the loss of lives in the fire incident in Secunderabad, Telangana. My condolences to the families of the victims. I wish the injured get well soon. The families of those who lost their lives in the accident will be given Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and Rs 50,000 each for the injured.
