Former India batsman Suresh Raina has retired from all forms of cricket on Tuesday. Earlier on August 15, 2020, Raina had said goodbye to international cricket along with his favorite captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Raina was part of the 2011 World Cup winning team under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Raina will not play for Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming domestic season.

Announcing his retirement on Twitter, Raina tweeted, “It is an absolute honor to represent my country and state UP. I want to announce my retirement from all forms of cricket. I thank BCCI, Uttar Pradesh Cricket, Chennai Super Kings, Rajeev Shukla sir and all my fans for their support and unwavering belief in my abilities."
