Now Attendant will be given food for 5 Rs in this hospital

 


Maa Canteen is going to start in Howrah District HospitalHowrah Municipal Corporation has decided to open this canteen there. Keeping in mind the inconveniences faced by the relatives of the patients coming to the Howrah Hospital for treatment, the Municipal Corporation has announced to start off this canteen.

After the opening of this canteen, many people will get its benefit. This will benefit the family members of the patient the most. It has also been announced that stalls will be provided by Self Help Groups on special occasions including Durga Puja. Regarding the menu of the canteen, the Municipal Corporation has informed us that the food will include rice, lentils, curry, and egg broth. This food will be available daily. Also on special days there will be special food. On special days the menu may sometimes include two eggs, sometimes fish and meat.

Earlier, Mother Canteen has been opened in Cooch Behar MJN Medical College for the relatives of the patients on the hospital premises. It was inaugurated by Cooch Behar Municipal Corporation Chairman Rabindranath Ghosh. On the initiative of the Municipal Corporation, two hundred people can eat eggs and rice daily on the hospital premises. If the demand increases, arrangements will be made to feed more people. Rabindranath Ghosh claimed that though the service was mainly started for the families of the patients who came to the hospital, other people from outside would also get benefit from this service.

In fact, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asked to take this initiative so that van drivers, rickshaw drivers, and other needy people can eat a full meal in the afternoon. He claimed that as per his instructions, this canteen has been opened to start food service at Rs.
