Famous writer Salman Rushdie was attacked with a knife by a miscreant during a literary event in New York, USA, injuring him seriously. At present, he is kept on a ventilator in the hospital. According to media reports, in a statement, Rushdie's agent Andrew Wylie said, "The news is not good." Salman is likely to lose one eye, and his arm veins were cut. At the same time, his liver has also been damaged due to the attack. According to a police spokesperson, the incident took place at the Chautauqua Institution. The attacker quickly came to the stage and attacked Rushdie with a knife. During this, the interviewer present on the stage also suffered a minor injury to his head.
