I am not afraid of death, I am afraid of slander- Atal Bihari Vajpayee

 


On the fourth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a wreath-laying and prayer meeting program was organized at his Samadhi Sthal 'Sadaiva Atal'. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The President and Prime Minister Modi paid homage and bowed to Atal Bihari Vajpayee by reaching 'Sadaiv Atal', his memorial site of him.

Along with President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, former President of the country Ram Nath Kovind, and BJP National President JP Nadda also visited Vajpayee's graveyard 'Sadaiva Atal'. ’ Arrived and bowed to him. Apart from ministers and BJP leaders of the Modi government, people who had worked with Atal Bihari Vajpayee also paid floral tributes to him by reaching his samadhi. During this, his daughter and son-in-law were also present at the 'Sadaiva Atal' samadhi.

It is noteworthy that former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who started his political journey with the Jana Sangh, founded the BJP in 1980 after the disintegration of the Janata Party. Vajpayee was the Prime Minister of the country thrice. On 27 March 2015, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was awarded Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award. He died on 16 August 2018 due to ill health. Today is his fourth death anniversary.
